HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (9-4-1, 5-1-1 NACC) looked to exert pressure on CUC (7-6-2, 3-3-2) early, as the Red and White recorded five shots in the first fifteen minutes before Papazoglou broke through for the Raiders with a goal at the 16:39 mark of the first half as she converted off a feed from Elizabeth Kuhn. The Raiders would out shoot the Cougars a lopsided 16-0 in the first half, but were unable to find the back of the net as the first 45 minutes of the contest expired with the Red and White leading just 1-0.
- Papazoglou would extend the Raiders lead just over 2 minutes into the second half, as the junior scored her second of the game at the 47:05 mark. Not even a minute later Papagzoglou fed captain Addison Spilman an easy pass as the senior capitalized, beating the CUC goalie and extending the MSOE lead to 3-0. Both Grace Quinn and Rosario Etcheverria Abuin would record goals down the stretch for MSOE, as Papazoglou recorded assists on each, increasing her point total to seven as the Raiders shut down and shutout the Cougars in a 5-0 walloping.
