MILWAUKEE – The MSOE women's basketball team got back in the win column on Wednesday night, as the Raiders bested the Pioneers of UW-Platteville thanks to a red-hot start by the Red and White.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders (4-4, 1-1 NACC) came out of the gates firing, opening up a 15-4 lead over the Pioneers (5-3, 0-0 WIAC) as Aleah Butterbrodt and Lana Kerley nailed their shots from beyond the arc while Halena Hill and Dani Mendez led the charge in transition for MSOE. The Raiders would maintain their lead through the second quarter as the Red and White would go on to finish with 26 points off of turnovers, with the Raider defense recording five blocks and nine steals against the Pioneers, as Kerley recorded three blocks to Butterbrodt's three steals.
- The Pioneers would crawl back into the mix and take their first lead of the game with 2:37 left to play in the third, as the fouls began to rack up for both teams. After a turnaround jumper from Mahima Chokshi and a wide-open jumper from Ella Mensen, MSOE held a 38-35 leading heading into the final frame. The Raiders would not allow Platteville to regain the lead, as Kerley and Chokshi took over, finishing with 37 of the teams 61 points as the Red and White got back to .500 with the victory over Platteville.
