MEQUON, Wis. –
Seth Bernard had a career day with four goals and five points in the regular season finale as the MSOE men's hockey team finished off the weekend sweep of Concordia University Wisconsin.
FINAL SCORE
MSOE RAIDERS – 7
Concordia Wisconsin - 4
HOW IT HAPPENED
- A quick powerplay opportunity for MSOE (14-9-2, 6-9-1 NCHA) put them on the board early as Carson Jones and Kevin Paganini found Cole Beilke. Concordia Wisconsin (8-17-0, 5-11-0 NCHA) converted on a powerplay of their own minutes later, eventually taking a 2-1 lead minutes into the second period getting underway. Casey Roepke netted his first of the game to tie things up, but the Falcons were persistent not wanting things out of hand as they retook the lead midway through the second period 3-2.
- It became all Bernard from there on as he scored the next three goals as the Raiders took a 5-3 seconds into the third period. After the Falcons converted on a powerplay with five minutes to play to cut within one, and empty net made it too easy for Bernard to pick up his fourth of the night while Roepke put the icing on the cake with a minute 30 seconds to play to wrap it all up.
