HOW IT HAPPENED
  • vs. St. Ambrose
    • MSOE (4-4, 0-0 NACC) were efficient as one could be in set one, hitting .476 to make it look too easy in the first 25-11. St. Ambrose (1-14, 0-1 CCAC) made an impressive come in set two to win 26-24 but the Raiders came away with ease in the final two sets, 25-28 and 25-22.
    • Many new faces this season were showcased in this match, highlighted by James Zippay leading the way with 15 kills and Antonio Llona Baez just behind him with 12. Matthew Chavez was the main setter throughout the match, totaling 30 assists, while Dixon Seymour held things down in the backrow with 12 digs, with Zippay also having double-digit digs with 10.
  • vs. Saint Xavier
    • A rested Saint Xavier (5-5, 3-0 CCAC) came out of the gates firing, opening the first set on a 15-6 run, taking the first set win 25-15. The Raiders regrouped itself in set two to still fall short 25-18, but that was just the precursor to set three as Ian Glashagel started a 5-0 run to give them the momentum for the 25-18 set three win. The Cougars were relentless in the fourth set as they cruised 25-12.
    • Callan Harris led the Raiders for the first time this season having 10 kills, just above Carter Shavitz with nine as Parker Rings recorded 27 assists to Raider hitters. Shavitz and Rings each added a service ace on the day, with Rings also added three blocks as well.
