HOW IT HAPPENED
- Carter Shavitz rattled three kills as MSOE (4-5, 1-1 NACC) opened the match on a 5-2 run. Rockford (1-11, 1-2 NACC) made their way back into the set taking a 10-9 lead and kept things interesting the rest of the set, going down 18-17. Shavitz continued to be a force with two more kills as a block from Callan Harris ended the first set 25-19.
- The two sides traded blows to begin before Seth Thomas sparked a 6-0 run. The Regents responded with four straight points of their own to keep things interesting but Shavitz killing three of the last five points made things easy for the Raiders winning the second set 25-16.
- The Regents held an advantage early 6-4 but didn't stop the Raiders from firing as they took a 11-8 lead thanks to multiple kills from Tommy Clausz. The Raiders cruised with ease as even Parker Rings got in on the action with three dumps as they finished off the sweep 25-17.
