HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (15-7, 9-4 NACC) jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead over Aurora (10-12, 7-6 NACC) thanks to back-to-back threes from Nicole Levine and Halena Hill. Levine would be the hot hand in the first quarter, racking up nine points in the first frame, including another three point jumper in the closing seconds of the quarter to put the Raiders ahead 22-12. The Falcons would do their best to chip away at the deficit from the free throw line in the second quarter, and the Raiders entered halftime up 34-28.
- At the 4:28 mark of the third quarter, the Falcons cut the MSOE lead to four, but the Raiders said enough was enough. Raekyiah Williams converted at the charity stripe to get three points the old fashioned way, before Nina Perl found Mahima Chokshi for a jumper. Perl would capitalize on a Falcon steal to put the Raiders lead back to double digits, and after a Chloe Kurkjian layup, the Raiders went into the fourth quarter ahead 51-41.
- The Raiders shot a perfect six-of-six from the free throw line in the last frame as the Falcons continued to be frustrated by the balanced offense of MSOE, led by Chokshi and Skylar Flanagan . Hill finished the night with 20 points, including six in the fourth, as the Raiders won on the road in Mequon for the first time since 2002.
