ALMA, MIch. – The MSOE men's lacrosse team bounced back from a 12-6 loss to Kalamazoo with a statement 18-5 win over Alma College.
Dawson Smith led the team with nine points in a dominant win on both ends of the field,

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (3-2, 0-0 NACC) and Alma (0-5) were evenly matched in the first quarter, with neither team getting much on the offensive end. After an Ethan Haselwood goal, Brooks McInerney took the first lead of the game for the Raiders at the 3:41 mark of the first frame. The Fighting Scots would score in the final minute of the first quarter, knotting the game up at 2-2. The Raiders would dominate the second quarter, shutting out the Fighting Scots and scoring eight unanswered goals to close the first half. Dawson Smith tallied points on seven of the eight goals, scoring three and assisting on four, including two from Soren Savard, as the Raiders went into the halftime break up 10-2.
- The Fighting Scots would answer to open the second half, scoring their first goal of the half just 2:26 into the third quarter. Graden Jansen would immediately halt any momentum Alma had, scoring unassisted only five seconds later. MSOE would control the fourth quarter, outscoring the opposition 6-1 as Jansen and Carson Harris disrupted the Alma offense from start to finish. Savard and Smith both padded their point totals as Paul Breuck scored the final goal of the contest with 36 seconds left on the clock to finalize the Raiders 18-5 win and put them back over .500.
