MEQUON, Wis. – The MSOE men's lacrosse team hosted the Lumberjacks of Northland College on Sunday with blizzard-like field conditions, as the Raiders chopped down the Lumberjacks with a 17-4 victory.
Dawson Smith had an electric performance, scoring twelve times on the way to breaking the MSOE single game scoring record.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders (4-3, 0-0 NACC) came out of the gates hot and got ahead of the Lumberjacks (2-6) early, as Dawson Smith scored his first goal at the 11:17 mark in what would turn out to be a historic day for the sophomore. Smith would add three more unanswered goals before Ethan Marasco converted on the extra-man opportunity to give the Raiders a 6-1 lead as the wind began to swirl and snow began to fall. The Raiders added six more goals in the second quarter, as Andrew Toman got in on the action, scoring his first of two goals on the way to a seven-point performance. The Raiders outshot the Lumberjacks 51-24 in the one-sided first half.
- After a 12-2 lead at the half, the Raiders bench was able to get in on the action as 10 different Raiders recorded points. Graden Jansen led the way on the defensive end with six ground balls, while also being stellar on face-offs, winning 10-of-11. With less than five minutes to play Smith tallied his 11th goal of the game, tying the school record, before breaking the record with 1:25 left to play, etching his name in the record books as MSOE sent Northland packing with a 17-4 walloping.
