MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The MSOE men's lacrosse team opened conference play on Saturday, as they fell to the Falcons of Concordia Wisconsin in a defensive-minded 9-6 affair.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders (4-4, 0-1 NACC) trailed the Falcons (6-3, 1-0 NACC) in the first half, as MSOE struggled to have any consistent possession time. The Falcons forced 19 Raider turnovers in the first half, as the MSOE's lone goal in the half came short-handed thanks to a sweet feed from Ethan Haselwood to Brandon Guzlecki. The Raiders ended the first half trailing 7-1 after CUW scored four goals in the final five minutes of the second quarter.
- The Raiders came out of the halftime break with a renewed focus on the offensive end, as Dawson Smith continued to be a force for the Raiders, netting the first two goals of the second half. The Raiders would score three unanswered goals to start the final frame, capped off by another Guzlecki goal, which brought the score to 8-6. The Raiders had silenced the Falcon faithful in attendance, but ultimately ran out of time as the final horn sounded with the Falcons coming out on top, 9-6.
