MILWAUKEE – The MSOE women's basketball team's winning streak was snapped by the Falcons of CUW on Wednesday night, as the Red and White lost for the first time in 2025 by a final score of 58-43.
RESULT
MSOE RAIDERS – 43
Concordia Wisconsin Falcons - 58
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders (9-7, 5-2 NACC) trailed the Falcons (6-9, 6-2 NACC) for most of the first quarter, until a Lana Kerley three pointer gave MSOE their first lead of the game with just 1:46 to play in the frame. The Falcons would regain the lead early in the second quarter, but the Raiders would keep the game within a possession after Dani Mendez battled for a second chance layup. Mahima Chokshi and Halena Hill would chip away at the Concordia defense, but CUW would head into halftime in the driver's seat, ahead 27-21.
- CUW would shoot over 50% from the field in the second-half, compared to the Raiders 33%, as the Falcons lead would reach double digits halfway through the third quarter. Chokshi would go on a tear, scoring eight straight points for the Raiders to bring the lead back down to single digits at the end of the third with CUW ahead 45-36. Both the Falcons and Raiders would go without a basket for nearly the first four minutes of the fourth quarter, as time began to wind down on the hopes of an MSOE comeback. A fastbreak layup from Kerley to Nicole Levine looked to spark the Raiders, but it seemed as if the Falcons could not miss down the stretch as MSOE fell 58-43
