MILWAUKEE – The MSOE women's basketball team scored the most points of Head Coach
Hannah Trees' tenure on Wednesday night, as the Raiders doubled up the Inferno of Alverno College.
RESULT
MSOE RAIDERS – 87
Alverno Inferno - 41
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders (10-8, 6-3 NACC) wasted little time as they quickly built a 9-0 lead over the Inferno (2-16, 0-9 NACC) before the opposition added their first points at the free throw line. Back-to-back threes from Halena Hill and Aleah Butterbrodt would kickstart another big run for the Raiders, who reached a 22-point lead in the first ten minutes of play on a layup from Shelby Glodowski, who had a career night leading MSOE in points and rebounds.
- A layup from Mahima Chokshi would push the MSOE lead to 30 points by midway through the second quarter, as the Raiders began to rack up points in the paint. Forwards Dani Mendez and Ella Mensen would lead the MSOE offense heading into halftime, with Mensen converting layup just before the buzzer sounded.
- Despite a fight from the Inferno in the third quarter, it wasn't enough to even make a dent in the Raiders lead, as four different Raiders would finish with double-digit points, including a career-high fourteen for Glodowski. The Raiders lead would reach as much as 45 points on a layup from Tiana Roehl, who added her first career points in the 87-41 win, the tenth for the Red and White this season.
