MILWAUKEE – In their first contest of 2025, the MSOE men's basketball came back to win against the Falcons of Concordia Wisconsin as the Red and White shot 50% from three-point range in the second half, securing their third conference win of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• CUW (4-7, 2-4 NACC) took a 5-0 lead to start the game before MSOE (7-5, 3-2 NACC) got on the board thanks to a jumper from Mason Dopirak.  The Falcons would maintain their lead throughout the entire first half, leading by as much as 12 points while the visitors shot a whopping 44.83% from the field compared to the Raiders 27.59% across the first 20 minutes of play.  A three pointer from Jonathan Burroughs and free throws from Joey Jendusa would bring the Raiders back to a single digit deficit, and after a buzzer beater from the Falcons closed the first half, MSOE trailed 32-25 at the break.
• The Falcons would build their lead back up to 12 points coming out of halftime, before a Donovan Carter three pointer kicked-off a critical Raider run.  MSOE would go on a 27-5 run, as Dopriak converted an and-one opportunity to tie things up a the 15:14 mark of the first half, followed up by a three from Chase Cummings to give the Red and White their first lead of the afternoon.  Carter capped off the Raiders run with another three, putting MSOE up double digits after trailing for the first 25 minutes.  The Falcons would close the deficit down as the Raiders led 62-59 with just under five minutes to play, but the Red and White answered the bell every time CUW managed to score, as MSOE locked up their first win of 2025 by a final score of 79-74.

WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will head to Plymouth, Wisconsin on Wednesday, January 8^th for their first NACC match-up of the new year, against Lakeland University.  Tip-off is set for 7:00PM.
