MILWAUKEE – The MSOE women's volleyball team regained their rhythm Thursday evening, defeating Alverno College in straight set on the road. The Raiders held the Inferno to just a
.078 hitting percentage while having eleven service aces.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (4-12, 2-0 NACC) didn't let being on the road stop their momentum as after giving up the first two points of the match, they went on a 6-0 run with two aces from Katie Taticek to take full control. After the Inferno fought back to take a 7-6 lead, the Raiders continued to dominate the service line with Ana Knutson adding an ace and Maddie Abel adding two back-to-back to lead 13-8. The Raiders rolled late in the set, closing on an 8-1 run, capped off by an ace from Knutson to win the set 25-13.
- The Inferno didn't shy away in the second, staying within striking range and then going on a 7-0 run to take a 19-16 lead. A kill from Alyssa Rusch lit a fire into the Raider offense from then on, closing on an 8-1 run to take the set 25-22. Continuing to battle to begin the third, three straight kills from Knutson sparked a 5-0 run to lead 16-13. After the Inferno battled to within two at 21-19, the Raiders didn't fumble from there as Morgan Borchardt put the final nail in the coffin with an ace to seal it 25-20.
