HOW IT HAPPENED
- Rockford (4-15, 2-7 NACC) blessed MSOE (5-18, 3-6 NACC) early, making three quick errors before Katie Taticek nailed in an ace to give them a 4-0 lead. After a kill from Sydney Emineth put the Raiders ahead 9-5, the Regents went on a 6-0 to take a 11-9 lead as the two began to go back-and-forth. Tied at 22, Taticek made the kill that then began pivotal to take the lead as the Raiders took the first set 25-23.
- The Raider offense took flight to begin the second, hitting four kills in their first six points, along with an ace from Morgan Borchardt to lead 6-2. Midway through, the Regents took a 19-17 lead before Katie Moser and Abby Balkema hit kills back-to-back to tie it. A kill from Balkema kickstarted a 6-1 run to close out the set as the Raiders took it 25-22.
- Everything began to click for the Raiders to open the third, taking a 9-2 lead from the jump, eventually making it double digits at 16-6 from an error from the Regents. The lead proved to be massive as even after mini runs from the Regents, the Raiders weren't phased at all as a dump from Borchardt end it, 25-15.
