MADISON, Wis. – The MSOE women's volleyball team couldn't stop the defensive attack at the net from Edgewood University Thursday night as they drop a straight set match on the road.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Edgewood (13-6, 5-0 NACC) offense kicked in a heartbeat, opening the match with a 10-3 lead, continuing to dominate and make it 20-4. Abby Balkema and Alyssa Rusch each added a kill late to break up the scoring before the Eagles closed out the set with an ace to take the set 25-6. The Raiders were able to stay in it early in set two with a pair of kills from Katie Taticek, along with an ace from Brenna Fledderman to hold the deficit to 10-9. The Eagles then went on a 8-0 run to establish themselves clear in the driver's seat to win the set 25-17.
- The Raider offense couldn't click to begin the third set, giving the Eagles a 6-2 lead early. The Raiders fought to bring it within two after a block from Sydney Emineth and Ashley Murphy, but it didn't faze the Eagles one bit as they brought the lead to eight at 19-11. The Raiders couldn't string together a run of their own to get back in it as the Eagles took the set 25-16.
