PLYMOUTH, Wis. – The MSOE men's wrestling team made waves as they opened their season at the Muskie Scramble, with the Raiders securing four first-place finishes at the annual tournament hosted by Lakeland University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders took first place in four brackets, 125A, 133B, 157B, and 184A with the younger half of the roster flexing their muscles in Plymouth. Sophomore Jackson Hughes continued where he left off last season, picking up back-to-back pinfall victories to secure the top spot at 184. Freshmen Lane Andersen and Ben Messier each landed the top spot on the podium in their respective brackets, with Anderson scoring four wins at 125, including a win via fall in just 58 seconds, while Messier picked up four wins in the second bracket at 157. Messier recorded his first two wins via fall, before working two decisions victories to secure his first-place position. Freshman Connor McDonald scored four wins at 133, picking up two pinfall wins and a 17-4 major decision, before battling out a 16-13 decision victory to his opponent from Harper College.
- Senior Gavin Graham reached the finals of the brackets but was unable to win the first-place bout. Graham, a national qualifier last season, recorded three straight victories via fall at 197 in a combined fourteen minutes and thirty seconds on his run to the final match of the afternoon.
WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will compete again in a tri-match in Mequon, Wisconsin on Friday, November 14
th. The Red and White will take on Carthage College and Concordia Wisconsin starting at 7:00 P.M.
