HOW IT HAPPENED
- The lone lead that MSOE (17-8, 13-5 NACC) could handle was on their second possession when Carson Cordelli buried a three to make it 3-2. Concordia Chicago (11-14, 9-9 NACC) found a rhythm early on from behind the arch, giving them an eight-point lead with 15:37 remaining before Donovan Carter put together a 5-0 run by himself to tie it at 21 midway through the first half. The Raiders were able to keep the Cougars in check for the next few minutes until they found themselves down double-digits with 1:11 remaining in the first half. Dopirak nailed a three as time expired, making it a 37-30 game at the break.
- CJ Valente cut it to five on their opening possession and then Carter made it a three-point game just a few minutes later. The Cougars brought their lead back to double digits with under 15 minutes to go and took their largest lead of the game 57-40 with ten minutes to go. Chase Cummings nailed a fast-break three to make it a seven point game with 6:24 remaining and Ethan Johnson took it down to five after a pair of free-throws, but the Cougars continued to nail everything to seal it.
