HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (3-8, 2-0 NACC) took the lead after James Zippay slammed an overpass to make it 6-5 before Harris notched back-to-back service aces to lead 9-6. After Rockford (3-10, 0-3 NACC) cut their deficit to make it 13-10, Seth Thomas led a 7-0 run that started with three kills from him to make the lead double-digits 20-10. The Raiders ended on a 5-2 run to take the first set 25-12.
- The Raiders took tied things up early after Hunter Carroll and Callan Harris combined for a block and extended the lead to 15-8 after a kill from Antonio Llona Baez. The lead became double digits after an ace from Harris and then he tacked on another ace to send the set 25-14. New faces took the court for the Raiders and took advantage of Regent errors to take a 6-2 lead early in the third set. Llona Baez became the main attacker as kills from him made the lead 13-6 until the Regents created a 4-0 run to cut it to three, 13-10. The errors from the Regents returned as they couldn't land many kills and a service error from them ended the match 25-20.
