HOW IT HAPPENED
- After Lakeland (7-16, 1-10 NACC) kept it interesting throughout the midway point, a 4-0 run after a Gregory Kubon kill at the net put MSOE (12-10, 10-1 NACC) ahead 18-13. A 3-0 run later with kills from Matthew Schultz and Thomas extended the lead to 22-15 before miscues later on the Muskies gave the Raiders the set win 25-17.
- After the Muskies opened the second with a quick three points, the Raiders blink and got right back into it as things went back and forth throughout the beginning stages. The Raiders began to roll with the help of many Muskie errors as they went on an 11-1 run to end with Thomas adding the final touch to win 25-17.
- The Raiders jumped out first in set three with a kill from Quinn Kozak and solo blocks from him and Tommy Clausz. As the Raiders began slowly building up their lead, in what felt like the blink of an eye found themselves up 18-7 after Kozak slammed on home. The Raiders continued to sit comfortably from there, as Hunter Carroll knocked in the final kill to seal it 25-13.
