The Spartans found themselves with an early advantage in the third set and were able to coast from there, taking the third 25-18.

Harris began to catch fire, producing three kills in the middle of a 5-0 run to take it to set point. The Spartans stayed in it with a 3-0 run of their own before Harris put the final touches to force a fifth set 25-22.
  • Things continued to be a ride of finding the momentum early before a kill from Clausz and back-to-back aces from Parker Rings gave the Red & White a 10-6 lead. After the Raiders got the lead to 13-11, the Spartans roared away on a 4-0 run to steal it.
