WAUKESHA, Wis. – The MSOE women's volleyball team came back after dropping the first two sets to Carroll University on the road Tuesday night but couldn't muster up a comeback.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After trading points to open the match, MSOE (3-12, 1-0 NACC) jumped out to a 6-2 advance with the help of a pair of aces from Natalie Martinez. Carroll (9-8, 0-3 CCIW) tied up the set at eight and then took the advantage at 11-10, never letting up from there to win the set 25-19. The Pioneers in the second set took full control, hitting five service aces and four blocks to take the set 25-9.
- Ana Knutson controlled the offense early in the third set, making three kills as the Raiders were down 10-8 to begin. The Pioneers held the advantage all the way to 21-20 when Ashley Murphy hit a kill to take the lead as the two sides began to battle with Knutson forcing a fourth set in a 26-24 set win. The Pioneers regrouped quickly, opening the fourth on a 9-2 run and didn't look back to end it 25-14.
