HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (8-7-2, 5-3-2) created their momentum on the power play when Sam Lyons retrived the puck infront of the net for the easy one-timer for a 1-0 lead nearly five minutes in. The Raiders would add to their lead six minutes later when Ethan Thombs raced down the puck into the offensive end for a quick move around the Dubuque (4-11-1, 1-7-1 NCHA) goaltender, extending the lead to 2-0 at the break.
- The Raiders didn't slow down for the rest of the game as just a few minutes into the second period beginning, Charles Fink sailed down the sideline for a quick feed to Casey Roepke for an easy lay-in to make it 3-0. In the third, Riley Ott would score his first goal of the season as he poked the puck right past the Spartans to seal the deal.
