FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The MSOE men's basketball team got back on the winning train as they fended off Marian University as they made a late push and forced overtime.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (10-7, 8-2 NACC) jumped out to a hot start as Matus Dopirak off the bench led a 13-0 run to lead 15-5 just five minutes in. Marian (8-8, 5-5 NACC) didn't let it phase them as they worked it down to a two point with 10:31 to play in the first half. The Sabres were able to take the lead at 24-22, bring it all the way to an eight-point game as they went into the break leading 34-30.
- The Raiders didn't back down coming out the break as Chase Cummings buried one from deep to lead 43-42. After bringing the lead up to six twice after layups from Jonathan Burroughs and CJ Valente, the Sabres retook the lead with 11:08 to play. Cummings hit another one from long range to tie the game up at 60 as they began to pull away, leading by seven with 4:42 to go. After getting the game back down to a possession deficit, the Sabres hit a three with 43 seconds to go to tie up the game and force overtime at 75 all.
- The Raiders were able to attack the paint to open overtime as Mason Dopirak laid one in twice with Burroughs once to lead by four halfway through. The Raiders then matched each time the Sabres scored and then sealed it when Ethan Johnson buried two free throws to win it.
