FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The MSOE men's hockey team fell Friday night on the road at Marian University. The game had a slow build as the scoreboard didn't light up until the midway point of the game with the Sabres closing on a four-goal run.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Marian (6-12-2, 5-8-0 NCHA) set the tone from the opening puck drop, leading the shot totals 8-6 while forcing two MSOE (8-10-2, 5-6-2 NCHA) to set up powerplays. The Raiders allowed just three shots on the first one and then one on the second as the first period ended scoreless. Midway through the second, the Sabres struck and then forced another Raider penalty to score again to make it a quick 2-0 game, holding at the second break.
- Seconds into the third period beginning, the Raiders forced a Sabre penalty for their third powerplay of the night and out of the faceoff, Charles Fink fed Seth Bernard to send to the back of the net to cut the deficit to one. Just a minute later, the Sabres would connect twice in the matter of 19 to stretch the lead to 4-1. Three minutes later, the Sabres would add an insurance goal before one more with under five minutes to play to wrap it.
