WHEATON, Ill. – The MSOE men's wrestling team made their way to the largest Division III wrestling tournament, the Pete Willson Invite, hosted by Wheaton College this weekend. The Raiders would post one of the best team finishes in program history as they racked up 45.5 team points on the way to 12
th place.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Toren Vandenbush was the top finisher for the Red and White with his 3rd place finish at 174. The sophomore posted a 5-1 record during his time in Wheaton, recording four decision wins and one first-round pinfall victory. The Belgium, Wisconsin native secured his place with a 3-1 decision win over his opponent from Rhode Island.
- Alex Morales was able to join Vandenbush as the second Raider to secure a spot on the podium, posting a 5-2 record on the way to 7th place at 149. Morales opened his tournament run off by trading a pinfall win and loss, before scoring three straight wins including a 3-2 overtime thriller. The sophomore from Redondo Beach, California locked up his spot with a 9-1 major decision over his Cornell College opponent.
- Alexander Ramirez, Gavin Graham and Jake Schmitt each posted multiple victories for the Red and White in Wheaton, as the 12th place finish as a team is the highest since they took 15th place during the 2016 edition of the tournament.

The Raiders will host the NACC Showcase this Friday, February 6
th, as they host CUW, Aurora and Lakeland for a four-way clash. The matches are set to begin at 5:30.
