HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders (9-4-3, 7-1-2 NACC) and Pointers (9-7-0) played a scoreless first half on Viets Field, as the Red and White held the opposition to just one shot in the first 45 minutes of play. MSOE would muster five shots of their own in the first, nearly taking a 1-0 heading into the break after a clean shot from Charlie Silvestri just missed the top shelf.
- After a slow start to the second half, the Raiders would see shots on goal from Steven Thomas, Chase Frea and Filip Aniecko all stopped by the Pointers goalkeeper. Finally, at the 64:54 mark, it was Joey Loduca following up a rebound from a Braedon Smith goal, giving MSOE the lead with 25 minutes left to play. From there, Christian Dershem would make a couple of critical saves to secure another shutout for the Raiders with just two games left before the start of the postseason.
