Rockford Regents – 0
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders (9-4-4, 7-1-3 NACC) would outpace the Regents (4-8-5, 1-6-4 NACC) from jump street, recording four shots in the opening fifteen minutes, all going wide right of the Rockford goal. As the Red and White's relentless play began to frustrate the Regents, MSOE would draw two yellow cards, but Juan Pablo Escobar and Nate Gendrich were stopped by the Rockford goalie. Cole Clevenstine would get one last chance before half, but his shot would sail high as the teams remained deadlocked heading to halftime.
- Coming out of the break, the Raiders continued to apply pressure on the Regents defense, with Steven Thomas adding another shot on goal that was stopped by Rockford. Christian Dershem would stop both Rockford shots that came his way, with the Red and White holding the Regents shotless in the final 26 minutes. Despite a trio of corner kicks in the final ten minutes, and a trifecta of tremendous efforts by Filip Aniecko, Nico Picha and Braedon Smith, the Regents would survive the Raiders as the Red and White secured the No. 3 seed in the NACC tournament and a home playoff game to match after gaining a point in the conference standings with the tie.
