CHERRY HILL, New Jersey – The MSOE Rowing teams made their way to the east coast for one of the largest regattas in the nation as the Red and White competed at the annual Knecht Cup Regatta. The women's varsity four would go on to be crowned champion, as the Red and White made it to the Grand Finals of every race, never finishing lower than fourth place.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the Women's Varsity Eight, the Red and White's crew of Paige Phillips, Allison Bauer, Grace Ivey, Isabella Blair, Johanna Glinz, Duaa Aljalous, Ainelise Manzke and Jen Miller were led by coxswain Lexy Mayo as they took 1st place in their heat, before finishing in third place in the grand final with a time of 7:35.67.
- On the men's side, the men would match the women with a third place finish in the Varsity Eight Grand Finals as coxswain Siena Carli led MSOE's crew of Liam Otten, Asuka Suzuki, Andre DeWet-Daniels, Garin Schilling, David Frenkel, Drew Witte, Jacob Borowczak and Ryan LeMay posted an official time of 6:22.82.
- The best boat of the afternoon for the Raiders was the Women's Varsity Four, as they captured the Knecht Cup crown with their time of 8:54.85, securing first place as the Red and White's crew of Ava Pike, Bauer, Miller, Phillips and Mayo all return to Milwaukee with gold medals in hand. The women's novice boat also impressed in their races in New Jersey, dominating their heat before taking fourth in the grand final against DI level competition.

"I am so incredibly proud of the work these ladies have put in this season and excited for them to experience it paying off," said Head Coach of Women's Rowing
Sydney Large. "We got the opportunity to race most of our conference over the weekend so we're looking forward to being back at this same course in a few weeks for the MARC Conference Championships. There's still work to be done and we look forward to fine tuning things before we see our conference again."
