Men's Lax Falls to Falcons in Regular Season Finale

MILWAUKEE – The MSOE men's lacrosse team closed out the regular season on Wednesday night, clashing with the Falcons of CUW with the No. 2 seed in the NACC Tournament on the line.  Despite a late push from the Red and White, Concordia Wisconsin would get the better of MSOE as attentions turn to the postseason.

RESULT
Concordia Wisconsin – 13
MSOE RAIDERS – 7

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • MSOE (12–5, 8-3 NACC) and CUW (16-1, 10-1 NACC) traded goals to open the game, with the Falcons opening the scoring before Dawson Smith tallied the first Raider goal of the evening to tie things up at 1-1 less than four minutes into the contest.  The rest of the first quarter would remain scoreless, with the Falcons coming alive in the second frame, tallying four answered goals before Andrew Toman ended the CUW run after an assist from Case Roberts, with the Raiders trailing 6-2 at the break.
  • Coming out of halftime, the Raiders would be outscored by the Falcons in a low-scoring third quarter as the Red and White trailed 9-3 heading to the final frame of the regular season.  Carter Stahl would record a fourth quarter hat trick after three consecutive unassisted goals, but time would run out on the Raiders comeback as they settle for the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament, clinching a postseason home game as they get set to host the NACC Tournament Quarterfinal this weekend.
