HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin (6-17, 5-7 NACC) put MSOE (20-6, 12-0 NACC) on the ropes early, jumping out to a 4-1 advantage before the Raiders stormed back to take the lead 5-4. The Falcons grabbed the lead two more times after that until a kill from Kubon took a 16-15 lead that was never relinquished, winning set one 25-21.
- Kills from Matthew Schultz and Kubon set the tone for the Raiders in set, jumping out to a 10-4 lead after a block from Hunter Carroll and Callan Harris. After growing the lead to seven, the Falcons cut their deficit back to four late at 23-19 but kills from Antonio Llona Baez and Harris ended set two, winning 25-19.
- Shades of set one rolled into set two as the Falcons jumped out early to a 8-5 lead before an ace from Reed Hefley put the Raiders ahead 9-8. A Schultz kill grew the lead 14-10 until the Falcons tied up the set at 17, then leading 22-20 late.
