Sam McPeak, and
Daniel Franklin IV set new school records as the MSOE men's track & field team competed at the Uncaged Eagle Open, hosted by Wisconsin-La Crosse.
MEN'S TEAM RECAP
- Springer, who already holds both the school and conference, just shattered them as he clocked a time of 1:48.99, his first time ever under the 1:50 barrier and nearly a 2.4 second personal best. His time is now third in Division III this season, solidifying himself at the National Championships in two weeks on the same track he competed on tonight. McPeak, who already has the school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, rebroke it with a near eleven second personal best 9:01.68 to now sit 13th. Franklin leaped massive personal best 14.43 meters to break the school record by over two feet, to now sit 25th nationally.
- Chase Nogalski dropped a new personal best in the 1,500-meter run in 3:56.28. Cody Zenyuh just dipped under his personal best in the steeplechase in 9:34.56, while Jackson Braun just narrowly missed his personal best he set last weekend, running 9:45.08.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Raiders will await the list of qualifiers for the NCAA Outdoor National Championships, coming in a press release from the NCAA on May 15
th.
