Box Score LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Senior Steven Shaffroth scored two goals, but it was not enough as the MSOE hockey team dropped a 3-2 game at Lake Forest Friday evening.
The Raiders (6-15-1, 5-10 NCHA) scored first, but the Foresters (13-8-1, 10-5-0 NCHA) responded quickly and played from ahead the rest of the game.
After a scoreless first period, Shaffroth opened the scoring with a ower play goal just 63 seconds into the second. He was assisted by senior West Bauman and freshman Gage Christianson.
LFC wasted no time leveling the score, as Andrew Stein scored for the home team just 24 seconds later. They would then take the lead with just 24 seconds to go in the frame. This time it was Justin Pelock getting the score
Shaffroth was back at if for MSOE, scoring his second goal of the game just 3:29 into the final period. Bauman and Christianson once again were there to set up their teammate and tie the game at 2-2.
