Box Score MILWAUKEE - Bobby Barrett scored two goals to lead Lake Forest to a 4-1 victory over the MSOE hockey team Saturday afternoon at the Kern Center.
The Raiders (6-16-1, 5-11 NCHA) fell behind the Foresters (14-8-1, 11-5-0 NCHA) 3-0, but kept fight and pulled a goal back.
LFC struck for two goals in the first half, with Anthony Annunziato breaking through at 11:32. Barrett added his first goal on a power play at 17:01 and struck against for an even-strength goal 6:10 into the second period.
Sophomore Nick LaRue got MSOE back into the game, getting the Raiders on the board at 16:21 of the second period. He was assisted by senior West Bauman and freshman Gage Christianson, the third goal this weekend they teamed to set up.
The team kept fighting into the final minutes, pulling the goalie with just over a minute to play. It was then that LFC capped the scoring with an empty net goal.
Freshman Austin Campbell made 14 saves in goal for MSOE. Leo Podolsky stopped 17 shots as the Foresters won their ninth-straight game and remained unbeated in their last 10 (9-0-1).
The Raiders close out the regular season with a home-and-home series against Concordia Wisconsin. The series starts Friday at the Kern Center.
