Box Score MILWAUKEE – After their sixth tie of the season on Friday night, MSOE hockey was ready to get back in the win column during their series finales against Trine. Unfortunately, the Thunder had other ideas as they scored three unanswered goals in the final period to bring back the victory to Indiana.
RESULTS
Trine – 4
MSOE – 1
HOW IT HAPPENED
Much like last night's game, the contest was all tied at one after the first 20 minutes of play. Trine scored first with a short-handed goal at 9:49 before the Raiders answered back just five minutes later. Garrett Gintoli put the biscuit in the basket for his sixth tally of the year with Spence Van Tiem getting his second assist of the season while Zach Davis notched his sixth. All was quiet in the second, with just 14 shots being taken by both teams combined. However, it was all Thunder in the third period. The Raiders were called for six of their eight penalties in the final frame, leading to two Trine power play goals. The Thunder scored at 1:38, 9:42, and 15:32 to put plenty of distance between them and the Red & White. MSOE was limited to just seven shots in the last 20 and went 0-for-4 on the power play as they fell to Trine on Saturday afternoon.
