Box Score MILWAUKEE – MSOE hockey kicked off a busy week this evening at the Kern Center, playing their first of three games within a five-day span. Tonight's opponent? The Falcons of Concordia Wisconsin, a team they have already beat twice this season. Make that three times. The Raiders spread the offense around and scored five on their way to a three-goal victory.
RESULT
Concordia Wisconsin – 2
MSOE – 5
HOW IT HAPPENED
Things usually go your way when you score two goals within the first 1:13 of a contest and tonight was no exception. CJ Kline netted the second goal of his young MSOE (4-0-0, 0-0-0 NCHA South) career just 25 seconds in to get the Red and White up and running. Garrett Gintoli then added his third tally of the season less than a minute later to put the Raiders up two in a blink of an eye. Concordia Wisconsin (1-6-0, 0-0-0 NCHA North) added one of their own just over halfway through the opening period to pull within one and then went on to tie the game 9:55 into the second frame. From there it was all MSOE. Matt Hanewall scored the game winner 55 seconds later and Jeff Makowski and Stian Owens added insurance goals to put the Raiders up 5-2, which proved to be the final total after a scoreless third. MSOE has now won three straight against CUW this season and their fourth straight overall after a decisive win inside the Kern Center on Wednesday.
