Box Score LAKE FOREST, Ill. – In a season full of cancellations and postponements, the MSOE hockey team made it through the NCHA regular season with neither. Tonight, the Raiders wrapped up that campaign in Lake Forest, continuing an offensive onslaught on their way to their fourth straight win.
FINAL SCORE
MSOE RAIDERS – 6
Lake Forest – 1
HOW IT HAPPENED
This evenings contest was not a case of if MSOE (8-5-1, 3-4-1 NCHA South) would score, but instead the better question was how many goals the Red & White would put up on the board. Lake Forest (0-3-0, 0-3-0 NCHA South) kicked off the scoring at 5:59 in the first, however that would be the first and only tally that the Foresters would net. The Raiders went on to score six unanswered starting off with Jack Nickels on the power play from Kevin Paganini and Matt Hanewall. The second featured a lone Jeff Makowski goal with helpers going to Garrett Gintoli and Christian Sabin before the floodgates opened. Paganini, Gintoli, and Makowski would all score in the third, with Gintoli adding his second of the game to wrap up the action on the scoreboard. Logan Halladay brushed aside 25 of the 26 shots that he saw as the Raiders sweep Lake Forest to end the regular season.
