HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Gramm McCormack helped the Raiders (12-6-0, 7-4- NCHA) find the back of the net first at the 9:13 mark from a feed from both Kyle Herbster and Jackson Hughes. Minutes later with the Raiders on the power play, Kevin Paganini converted from Preston Park and Cole Beilke to go up 2-0. The Falcons (2-16-0, 2-9-0 NCHA) would score with under four minutes left in the first period to get within one going into the first intermission.
  • The second period saw four goals over a seven-minute period as McCormack found his second goal of the night from Herbster and Christian Sabin before the Falcons put one in a few minutes later. McCormack would grab another point as he and Paganini helped feed Jackson Hughes for a goal as the Raiders would convert another power play just under two minutes later from Cole Beilke.
  • The defense one both sides would step up in the third period as the Falcons were the only ones to score at the 5:52 mark to cut their deficit to two. CUW pulled their goalie late for a last-minute attack, but the Red & White would down their offense to cruise to victory.
