Box Score MILWAUKKE – After a victory over the Sabres last night in Fond du Lac, MSOE men's hockey looked to keep their hot stick going at home against Marian in the back half of the two game series. After a low scoring first two periods, an explosive third frame pushed the Red & White to a sweep of the Sabres inside the Kern Center on Hall of Fame Day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a quiet opening period and going into the first intermission scoreless, Marian (5-10, 2-6 NCHA) found the back of the net within the first six minutes of the second stanza to go up 1-0. However, three minutes later Kyle Herbster tied the game on the power play thanks to a feed from Gramm McCormack and Christian Sabin which allowed MSOE (10-5, 5-3) to tie up the contest with 20 minutes to play.
- The Sabres would respond quickly to start the third period before the Raiders scored three consecutive goals from Seth Bernard, Christian Sabin, and Jackson Yee to take a commanding advantage.
- Marian would score again to try and spark a comeback with less than eight to go, but McCormack answered back just over two minutes later to get a goal of his own which added a much needed insurance tally in the Red & White's 5-3 victory.
RAIDER REMARKS
- Gramm McCormack and captain Christian Sabin paced the Raiders with a goal and two assists each while Austin Schwab stopped another 26 shots for the win.
- Raiders goaltending legend Connor Toomey was celebrated later in the evening as he was inducted as part of the MSOE Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2023.
