STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Record breaking performances along with multiple event wins led the MSOE men's and women's track teams at the Big Dog Invitational as the men were victorious and the women claiming third.

MEN'S TEAM RECAP
- Tyler Brantner made his season debut in the hepthalon down at Carthage and put on a show, finishing in 3rd place with a point total of 4543, rebreaking his school record from a year ago and sits 26th nationally in the event. Back at the Big Dog Invitational, Gavin Fritsch led the Raiders in the throws, winning the Weight Throw (16.00m) and finishing in second in the Shot Put (14.05m). Keegan Rhodes had a top three finish in the Shot Put as well, finishing in third place (13.74m).
- A near complete sweep through the top places in the distance events for the Red & White as David Golisch (15:54.96) led a 1-3-4-6 finish in the 5,000-meter run and Colby Branch (9:00.15) led a 1-2-4-6-7 in the 3,000-meter run. Isaac Hunter tied his season best time of 22.99 in the 200-meter dash to finish in second, while Evan Ploeckelman finished in third (23.26) and Daniel Burant finished in fourth (23.28) respectively.
WOMEN'S TEAM RECAP
- Elizabeth Mikkelson led a record-breaking performance on the women's side, breaking the school record in the weight throw, finishing in 2nd place with a toss of 15.59m. She currently owns almost a half meter lead in the NACC in that event. In the Shot Put, Katrina Wawrzyn led a 1-3-4-8 performance from the Red & White, throwing 12.31m.
- Mackenzie Caves had top finishes across multiple events as she won the Triple Jump (10.89m) and finished second in the Long Jump (4.79m). Caves also finished fourth in the 60-meter dash, clocking a time of 8.38 seconds. Kaitlyn Rodman had an another event win, running just tenths of a second off her school record in the 3,000-meter run (10:37.69) as the Raiders swept the top four places in the event.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Raiders will head to Ripon for the Dick Hendricks Invite for their last tune-up before the NACC Indoor Championships. The meet is set for February 11th with events starting at 11 AM.
