The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) has announced its student athletes of the week with Callan Harris, Elias Lopez, and Andres Saavedra representing MSOE.

Harris, a sophomore opposite hitter from Wales, Wisconsin, racked 26 kills, hitting .313 in the Raiders' 3-1 victory at Benedictine. He added two service aces and two blocks in the contest.

Lopez, a freshman from Poplar Grove, Illinois, impressed in his second career start against the Depauw Tigers last Tuesday, as the right-hander went the distance, throwing all nine innings in the 9-1 Raiders' victory, racking up six strikeouts while allowing just three baserunners on one hit, one walk, and one hit batsman. 

Saavedra, a junior from Ibaque, Colombia, has remained a steady force for the Raiders, posting victories over Illinois College (7-0) and NACC preseason favorite Illinois Tech (4-3). Competing at No. 1 singles, he defeated Illinois College's Tejas Zala (6-0, 6-0), and Illinois Tech's Pedro Roca (6-4, 7-5). Saavedra also paired with Joe Chong at No. 1 doubles for victories over Illinois College (6-4) and MSOE (7-6 [3]).

Saavedra and the men's tennis team return to the court this Thursday, March 27^th for a matchup against Edgewood College.  Lopez and the baseball team are back in action on March 26^th, when they take on the Marian Sabres, and Harris along with the rest of the men's volleyball team returns to action tonight, March 25^th, when they head up north for a matchup with St. Norbert College.
