MILWAUKEE – Three Raiders earned NACC Student-Athlete of the Week honors after the conference awarded

AJ Springer for their performances across the week of Feb. 2
nd- Feb. 11
th.
Alderman, a senior from Janesville, Wisconsin, threw a massive personal best and school record throw in the shot put at the Red Hawk Invite, tossing 14.55 meters (47-9) on her final throw of the competition, improving her previous best by nearly 2.5 feet. Her mark is now second in Division III. She also had a second-place finish in the weight throw with a toss of 16.43 meters (53-11), just two inches off her personal best, and sits 24th nationally.
Lopez, a sophomore from Choloma, Honduras, secured three wins for the Raiders over the weekend. In a 6-1 win over Central College, he scored a 6-3, 6-2 win over Nile Christensen at No. 5 singles. In MSOE's 4-3 win over Grand View, Lopez paired with
Randy Funez for a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles and clinched the match with a 6-7, 6-4, 1-0 marathon win at No. 5 singles.
Springer, a junior from Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, won the 800-meter run at the Ripon College Red Hawk Invitational with a time of 1:52.94. Converted to reflect the differences in times between the 200-meter flat layout at Ripon and the 200-meter banked layout that will be used at the national meet, Springer's time of of 1:51.35 ranks sixth on the NCAA Division III performance list.
Alderman, Springer and the rest of the Raiders will be back in action on February 14
th, when they head to the Dick Hendricks Invite, hosted by Ripon College. The meet is set to start at 11:00 A.M.
Lopez and the men's tennis team will head to Kenosha, Wisconsin this Sunday, February 15
th for a matchup with the Carthage College Firebirds. The action is set to begin at 4:30 P.M.
