Four Raiders Earn NACC Weekly Honors

MILWAUKEE – Four Raiders have earned Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Weekly Honors with Ashlyn Bode and Vayda Flower sweeping for Women's Lacrosse, Graden Jansen scooping up his fifth specialist award of the season for Men's Lacrosse, and Sam Sorenson earning for Men's Track & Field.

Bode, a sophomore attack, posted 11 ground balls, five caused turnovers, and seven draw controls as MSOE scored a pair of victories over Concordia Wisconsin. In the April 22 regular-season finale, she had four ground balls, three caused turnovers, and three draw controls. Bode added seven ground balls, four draw controls, and two caused turnovers in the return matchup three days later as the Raiders scored a 19-7 victory to open the NACC Tournament.

Flower, a junior attack, finished with 13 points on six goals and seven assists as MSOE recorded a pair of victories over Concordia Wisconsin. She posted two goals and a career-high six assists in a 19-11 victory to close out the regular season on April 22. In the return matchup three days later, Flower scored four goals and an assist in a 19-7 win to open the NACC Women's Lacrosse Tournament.

Jansen, a junior faceoff specialist, went 38-of-46 on faceoffs as MSOE split a pair of games. He was 15-of-19 in the circle and scooped up eight ground balls in a 13-7 loss to Concordia Wisconsin in the Raiders' regular-season finale. Jansen followed that up with a 23-of-27 effort on faceoffs with 13 more ground balls as MSOE posted a 15-10 win over sixth-seeded Illinois Tech in the NACC tournament quarterfinals.

Sorenson, a junior from Williams Bay, Wisconsin, finished third overall and was the top NCAA Division III finisher in the 110-meter hurdles at the Drake Alternative hosted by UW-Whitewater. His time of 14.61 seconds broke the MSOE program record and sits 39th on the NCAA Division III performance list. The mark also leads the NACC performance list by .32 seconds.

Bode, Flower and the rest of the Women's Lacrosse team take on No. 1 Lake Forest College in the NACC Tournament Semifinals on Wednesday, April 29th.

Jansen and Men's Lacrosse team head to Mequon, Wisconsin for the NACC Tournament Semifinals against No. 2 Concordia Wisconsin on Wednesday, April 29th.

Sorenson and the Men's Track team will head to Wauwatosa, Wisconsin for the NACC Outdoor Championship starting on Friday, May 1st.
