AURORA, Illinois – The MSOE men's volleyball team hit over .400 for the second time this season with a season-low eight attack errors in sweeping past Aurora 25-11, 25-14, 25-20 for its seventh-straight win Wednesday night at Thornton Gymnasium.

The Raiders (10-3, 7-1 NACC) added 12 service aces in an all-around dominating performance against the Spartans (9-6, 3-5 NACC).

Senior Neil Naughton hit .500 and led the team with nine kills. Sophomore Jake Christensen (.455) added seven kills while sophomore Spencer Mueller (.625) and senior Bryant Holland had six kills each. Mueller also led the block with four with a pair of service aces, as well.

Senior Andrew Miller had 31 assists over the three sets and had five aces of his own.

Tim Brieter led Aurora with nine kills in the match.

The Raiders hit .619 in the first set and .421 in the second with just one error in each frame to take control of the match. They jumped out to a 12-5 lead in the first game and scored the first seven points of the second and never looked back.

In the third game, AU actually led 16-15 late before four-straight Red & White points turned the tide. The home team could not get any closer than two points down the stretch and MSOE tallied the final three points to close out the win.

The Raiders attacked at a .409 percentage with 35 kills against the eight errors. Aurora was limited to .079 attacking and just 21 kills in the match.

MSOE has a break before returning to the court March 13 with a non-league match against Kean to be played at Concordia Wisconsin in Mequon.
