Raiders Drop Tight Match to Stars

RIVER FOREST, Illinois –  The 13th-ranked MSOE men's volleyball team suffered a 25-22, 25-22, 18-25, 18-25, 13-15 defeat at the hands of Dominican University Friday night at Igini Sports Forum.

The Raiders (7-4, 2-2 NACC) and Stars (8-1, 3-0 NACC) battled the whole night, with the Stars eventually winning the tightly contested match. 

Senior Quin Krisik had 40 assists, while Freshman Austyn Bella hit .480 with 14 kills and only 2 errors and Freshman Jacob Sirny hit .692 with 10 kills and 1 error. 

Ethan Kolsak hit .406 with 16 kills and Jack McGuire had 50 assists for the Stars. 

MSOE struggled a bit on the attack hitting only .189 compared to the Stars .345, but found themselves up two games.  The Stars rallied and won the last three games to take the match. 

The Raiders return to the court Saturday to face Wisconsin rival Carthage at 1:00pm in the Tarble Arena.
