Box Score MILWAUKEE – Tonight was just what MSOE needed. After falling in straight sets to #6 Benedictine on Tuesday night, the Raiders hosted another one of the conference's top teams in (RV) Aurora. The Red & White came out firing on all cylinders and had one of their best hitting games of the season in the 3-0 sweep of the Spartans.
RESULT
(RV) Aurora – 0 (18, 19, 18)
MSOE RAIDERS – 3 (25, 25, 25)
HOW IT HAPPENED
It seemed like MSOE (6-4, 5-2 NACC) could do no wrong this evening against (RV) Aurora (6-6, 5-2 NACC). The Raiders hit .388 as a team and committed just nine attack errors in the three-set match. The first and second frame saw the Red & White jump out to early leads and forced the Spartans into a game of catchup where they committed 11 errors in those sets. The third frame was a little bit different. This time it was Aurora claiming stake to a big lead from the onset and had the Raiders down 6-2 early on. The Red & White slowly but surely climbed out of that hole though. MSOE went on several mini runs, finally tying things at 12-12. The Raiders would then go on to win the next 13 of 19 points made available to sweep the Spartans and pick up a big NACC win.
