HOW IT HAPPENED
MSOE (7-4, 6-2 NACC) faced off against first year program Edgewood (1-11, 1-8 NACC) on Thursday evening which allowed head coach Shane Reid the unique advantage of being able to put this reserves out on the court for an entire match. While the first set was a little rocky, the Raiders eventually settled down and got into a good rhythm by the middle second stanza. The Red & White still won the initial frame but the Eagles took them to extra points to make things slightly more difficult. Set two was by far the best set MSOE had on the night. The Raiders hit .625 and had 11 kills on their way to a 25-15 victory. The Red & White closed out the ballgame with a .238 attack percentage and a 25-19 win to take the match in three straight. The Raiders hit .277 overall as a team and had a total of 10 team blocks along the way.
