RIVER FOREST, Ill. – MSOE men's volleyball headed down south to take on two opponents to start the final week of their regular season. While they spilt on the day between Concordia Chicago and UC Santa Cruz, the win against the Cougars secured the Raiders a spot in the NACC postseason tournament.

RESULTS
Game One
MSOE RAIDERS – 3 (26, 32, 26)
Concordia Chicago – 0 (24, 30, 24)

Game Two
MSOE RAIDERS – 2 (23, 25, 25, 16, 17)
UC Santa Cruz – 3 (25, 23, 19, 25, 19)

HOW IT HAPPENED
No set was easy for MSOE (8-6, 7-2 NACC) on Sunday afternoon in their pair of games in Illinois. First up was a conference battle that saw them take on the Cougars of Concordia Chicago (3-6, 3-6 NACC). Each frame went to extra points in the NACC battle, with the Raiders coming out on the winning end of each of them. The most contentious of the three was the second stanza where there was a total of 62 points scored between the two clubs. Tyler Christensen kept up his torrid pace with 15 kills while Jacob Sirny had five block in the Raiders seventh conference win of the year.

The second match of the afternoon featured the Raiders and UC Santa Cruz (4-0). Once again, every set was a back-and-forth affair in a game that went down to the wire. After losing the first frame, the Raiders stormed back and won sets two and three. The fourth saw the Red & White put up their lowest point total all afternoon, setting up a fifth and final battle with the Banana Slugs. This one followed the trend from the first game of the day and went into extras. Unfortunately, the Raiders were unable to pull out a victory as they fall in their final non-conference battle of the season.

WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will look to improve on their seeding for the NACC tournament with time ticking down. Their final two games starts on Tuesday when they travel to Dominican for a 7:00 pm first serve before taking on Illionis Tech at home on Friday.
