HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (12-2-3, 7-2-2 NACC) has been victims of the penalty kick more than they would have preferred this season and that is exactly how Aurora (8-2-6, 7-1-3 NACC) got onto the board in the first half. The Spartans snuck one past Raiders keeper Ethan Houseworth at 16:29 to take the 1-0 lead.
- The Red & White would have their chances in this contest, taking 15 shots in total. Seven of those attempts were on goal but they couldn't get any past the Aurora defense.
- The Spartans added an insurance tally with less than nine minutes left to not only ice their victory but also giving them full control of who wins the NACC and the number one seed in the tournament on Wednesday.
RAIDER REMARKS
- While the Raiders didn't lock down the NACC regular season title, they did secure their spot in the conference tournament that starts next weekend.
