Box Score MILWAUKEE – MSOE men's volleyball was dealt their first loss of the 2022 season on Wednesday but that wasn't going to stop them from getting right back in the win column. The Raiders hit over .450 as a team and dispatched Cardinal Stritch in three sets on Friday night across town.
RESULT
MSOE RAIDERS – 3 (25-25-25)
Cardinal Stritch – 0 (10-23-22)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (4-1) came out firing in the first set against Cardinal Stritch (3-4) this evening. The Raiders had 12 kills and only two errors in a 25-10 thrashing of the Wolves. CSU only managed three kills and hit -.118.
- The second and third frames were a little closer than that, however. The Red & White had three more kills than they did in the first set and hit .480 overall but Stritch pushed MSOE to their limit behind .533 hitting on their end. A three-point swing towards the conclusion allowed CSU to get within one but Ian Glashagel was able to bury a kill to give the Raiders a 2-0 lead.
- MSOE actually trailed for a brief period in the third set and were down 19-18 before they turned on the jets. The Raiders finished out the match on 7-3 run to secure their fourth win of the year and second over the Wolves.
