FOND DU LAC, Wis. – MSOE men's volleyball was back in the Midwest after an encouraging East Coast trip and ready to take on NACC foe Marian on the road. Unfortunately, the Raiders couldn't get out of their own way as errors proved to be extremely costly in their straight set loss.

Marian – 3 (25 | 25 | 29)

HOW IT HAPPENED

• MSOE (8-6, 3-1 NACC) did themselves no favors this evening on the road against Marian (19-4, 5-2 NACC). The Raiders registered 29 total errors against the Sabres starting with eight and a .000 attack percentage in a 25-14 set one loss. Meanwhile, MU took care of the ball on the other side of the net, committing just eight errors all night.
• The Red & White turned in a slightly better performance in the middle frame with 13 kills but had a game high 12 errors to go along with their offensive effort. The Sabres had their poorest hitting set of the night (.115) but still won 25-19.
• The Raiders tried their best to stay alive in the third and final period. They slammed home 17 kills, the most out of either team in the contest. However, with the score at 17-9 MSOE, Marian made an incredible comeback. The Sabres won 20 of the next 30 points to win in extra tallies 29-27 and sweep the match against the Raiders.

RAIDER REMARKS

• The Raiders have dropped the last two contests to Marian after winning seven in a row before that streak was snapped last season. This also serves as the first time the Red & White have lost in straight sets to the Sabres.
